Women's Right to Vote Commemorative Ornament
![]() Women's Right to Vote Commemorative Ornament
In 1920, after seven decades of bold, couragous work by many to secure American women's right to vote, the 19th Amendment was ratified. It would take another 45 years of persistent activism before the Voting Rights Act extended that basic right to all women.
In 1995, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton joined women from around the world to address challenges women confronted. There, she stated clearly that "human rights are women's rights, and women's rights are human rights."
Our 2020 ornament commemorates these anniversaries and celebrates the brave women and men who showed us that we must always use our voices and our votes to build a world where women's human rights thrive.
