The brave students who first integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957 under protection of the National Guard were at the vanguard of the civil rights movement. They soon became known as the Little Rock Nine. This impressionistic image painted by George Hunt was created in 1997 for use on a United States postage stamp honoring this important moment in American history. The work is wonderfully captured on this poster and each is signed by the artist! 20" x 26"
