Votes for Women : Teapot
This teapot is one of several high quality reproduction pieces we are offering representing dinnerware used at a famous 1909 suffrage open house in Newport, Rhode Island. The motto of the event held at the Marble House was Votes for Women. In attendance were many of the most militant suffragists of the day including Mrs. Alva Erskine Smith Vanderbilt Belmont and Anna Howard Shaw. Know a woman who speaks her mind? Yourself, perhaps? Perfect! 6" tall. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Produced by the Preservation Society of Newport County.
